His Excellency Xi Jinping President of the People's Republic of China Dear Excellency, I am writing to inform that with great pleasure we have received information from the Middle Kingdom that selective abortion of unborn children was prohibited. Irrespective of the intentions of the authorities of the People's Republic of China, it is a great step in the right direction. Every child, as a gift from God, endowed with body and soul, has the right to see the beauty of this world, also millions of Chinese children. Therefore, we ask your Excellency to introduce a total ban on abortion in China. I am writing to you from Poland - a Christian country, country of great lover of China and the beauty of its nature. Country of the catholic priest from the former Kingdom of Poland – Michal Piotr Boym, who died in 1659 in Guangxi. He baptized the Yongli Emperor of the Southern Ming dynasty. Before that, he had actually baptized the entire imperial family, including the king's little son - Constantine. Afterwards, priest Boym became the China's emperor’s envoy to the Catholic Pope in Rome (Italy) in order to obtain support from the West in the fight against the Manchurian armies. The Emperor's envoy not only reached the capital of Christianity via India and Persia (often on foot), but also returned to China, which he loved so much and where he was spreading Christianity. Here we have to ask the question: what gave this Pole the strength to perform genuine heroic actions, not fictional but real, and worthy of great historical movies? There is only one answer: faith in Jesus Christ. Chinese experts are asking themselves today: what gave Europeans the power to turn from a small nook of Eurasia into the most creative continent in the world? It is Christianity, which, unfortunately, the inhabitants of this part of the world have renounced today. Taking the above into consideration, I hope that your Excellency will believe that Jesus of Nazareth is true God and true Man, who died voluntarily on the cross for our salvation. Your believing in Jesus Christ and getting baptized in the one holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church would become a model for the entire Chinese nation. In the coming time of war - provoked for certain by hostile forces – the Middle Kingdom will be in need of the blessing of Jesus Christ, the True God. Like the priest Michal Piotr Boym, I am ready to come to China to meet formal requirements of baptism, becoming your and yours wife godfather. May the grace of baptism give strength to the oldest nation in the world. God help China.
